Campuses usually have a Student Union or Student Center building that serves the campus community as an informal meeting place for students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of the university. It is where students can learn about upcoming events, including social and cultural activities such as art exhibits, movies, forums, and lectures. Usually, there is also information on student organizations and those organizations have offices and space for groups to gather there. These buildings could also have food courts and other student services such as health clinics, IT support desks, post offices, hair salons, etc. There might also be bulletin boards for advertisements, for offers of ride-sharing to various destinations, and for sale of used items like clothing, books, furniture, and other items of interest.
